David Cobley has a firmly established reputation as a portrait painter, with the Princess Royal and Stephen Berkoff among his subjects. He won the Brandler Prize and was short-listed for the John Player Portrait Award. His serene and peaceful paintings of the female nude demonstrate his outstanding mastery of paint, tone and composition. David Cobley has exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition for a number of years and his paintings are in many collections around the world.
